Michenuels provided expert craftsmanship for a newly installed, colour-matched mahogany staircase as part of a basement extension in a period-listed home in Maida Vale, North London. The existing mahogany staircase, a key feature of the house, was carefully matched. The new staircase’s treads and risers were sanded, prepared, and protected before being stained. An on-site spray finish ensured a flawless, even appearance. Afterward, the same techniques were applied to the original staircase, and a wax finish was added for a polished look. The project was completed in just one week, perfectly blending the new with the historic elements.
